150+ gorgeous pages of evolving art in a sideways format telling the tragic story behind one of the most important horror movies of all time - from its birth, assassination, near extermination, and eventual resurrection.
With your help we’ll produce this exclusive hardcover edition, with an extra 20+ pages of storyboards/making of content added to the 130-page story, plus a chance to add a new short story through the Stretch Goals!
This book represents a new chapter in the Invader story, as we branch out to publish more than simply comics, and take chances on creators and projects that go well beyond the conventional. This is also a seminally important book to Marco himself, who counts Nosferatu as a foundational aspect of his creative evolution.

#Bio
Marco Fontanili, 31 years old, was born and raised in Reggio Emilia, a small city in the North of Italy. Graduating in 2013 from the International School of Comics of Reggio Emilia, he’s worked in the Italian comic book industry and as an illustrator in the field of independent cinema. In 2023 he joined the list of authors/illustrators involved in the relaunch of the historic Italian magazine “AlterLinus”.
He currently works as a writer and artist mainly in the American comics industry, where, in the past couple of years, he did the one-shot “Kingjira: Hungry like a Monster” and the miniseries “Space Outlaws” with Scout Comics, as well as the miniseries “Pentagram of Horror” with Black Caravan.
Invader's mission is to find the best new and undiscovered talent out there, and give them a chance to shine on a larger stage. We don't care if you've never been published, if your stuff isn't "commercially viable" (whatever that means) or hard to define... If it's a good story, we want to see it! But we can't do it alone. We're just three guys – self-financing this ground-level takeover of the comic book industry – who got sick of the barriers and gatekeepers that were keeping us away from all the amazing stories out there, SO WE DECIDED TO SMASH THEM DOWN!

#Stretch Goals
At $8,000: in the movie, Count Orlok sends a cryptic letter full of angelic script to the real estate agent. Marco will produce a similar letter, signed by "Count Marco" instead. He'll do it up on tea-colored paper and envelopes, and include one with every book. UNLOCKED!
At $9,000, we'll do a unique matte/spot UV cover treatment for the hardcover. UNLOCKED!
At $10,000, Marco will add a short story to the book! UNLOCKED!
At $13,000, all physical supporters will get a free Nosferatu sticker added to their orders!
At $15,000, we'll add a dust jacket onto all books for free, done by artist Jim Mahfood!!
#Timeline
While this book is already completed (meaning we just need to send it off to the printer once the .pdf is assembled) we still need to finalize the Italian to English translation, which is being copyedited currently. We also have plans for more Marco projects, and this campaign will help make them a reality! The book order will be placed shortly after the campaign ends, and while supply chain issues still exist post-pandemic, we have a long-standing relationship with our printer and have successfully fulfilled more than two dozen book campaigns to date!
We're aiming to have the book in everyone's hands shortly after the release of the new Eggers/Nosferatu film on 12/25/24
