#The Story
In a time where it feels impossible to get new readers into comics, Prodigy Comics is an anthology that offers a fresh, new universe for people to explore, free from the burden of extensive continuity, retcons, and reboots. These stories introduce new superheroes, gritty underdog avengers, cursed teenagers, and even a reinvention of a milestone character from the forgotten annals of comics history.
These new characters come from a variety of backgrounds, as do their creators. Queer people and people of color, especially, are integral to the fabric of this world. Our world.
So join us in a new storytelling odyssey that will offer a refreshing perspective on an age-old practice of telling myths through the page. With your help, we can make this dream a reality.
“Prodigy Comics is kickass out of the gate, with a classic art style that brings me back to the books that made me love the business. It’s bold, confident, meaty superheroes that knows just when to push the envelope–with an epic story that stretches centuries!” - Steve Orlando, Eisner and GLAAD Award nominated writer
“Lots of action…! I would buy this in stores! They worked their asses off for this book and it shows!” - George Buehler, Podcaster of The Fanatic Chat
