It is 1923. Nightclub singer and flapper Cleo has held on to her job longer than anyone for one not-so-simple reason: she can turn water into any kind of alcohol you can think of.

That's just the beginning of her powers, which are growing at a scary rate and for a good reason: a gangster is out to kill her!

She soon learns that she's just one of nine reincarnations of the same woman - and her killer reincarnates too! It will take everything she has to come out alive…

Steve Horton is the writer of NINE LIVES, premiering right here on Zoop. He's the New York Times bestselling writer of BOWIE: STARDUST, RAYGUNS & MOONAGE DAYDREAMS, which won two Eisner Awards, considered comics' highest honor. He's also the writer of SATELLITE FALLING, from IDW Publishing, which is in development for television, and AMALA'S BLADE, from Dark Horse Comics. Finally, he's the co-creator of HERE THERE BE DRAGONS on Webtoon. He hails from parts unknown with his family and three nosy cats.

Chris Peterson has been drawing and occasionally writing comics for the past 16 years. He has self-published off and on including anthologies, one-shots and limited series, one of which garnered a Shuster Award nomination. His recent works include MANTICORE, the GRINDHOUSE series from Dark Horse Comics, MAYDAY from Black Mask, BROKEN WORLD from Boom! Studios and various other projects from Image, Boom! and Dark Horse.

Stretch Goals

We're eager to make the comic looks as impressive as possible, so we'll start with this: if we reach $6,000 then the cover will be upgraded to have some Spot UV Gloss, which will really POP!

As of the launch of the campaign, the book is still being completed. We anticipate it being done sometime in April '23 and then heading to the printers. Printing, manufacturing and shipping should take around three more months, so delivery of rewards is expected to be done by the end of Summer 2023.

The pandemic has shown that certain conditions are simply out of anybody’s hands. However, Zoop will always be here to communicate with backers should any delays occur, if there’s confusion about delivery, or if any other concerns pop up.

A few short answers to how this works.
